Siemens: the retirement of S5 version with the advent of the S7.

After the announcement, the S7 - 1500 version has been put on the market. Siemens reshaped the PLC world with new possibilities and improvements which create efficiency inside the firm. All this at competitively priced.

 

For this reason, Siemens annunciated that it will not supply technical assistency and spare parts of the S5 version anymore, pensioning it.

The new S7-1200 and S7-1500 modules rapresent the new frontier for the automation: with an integrated web server for the remote control and a new programming language that substitute the classic AWL.

Thanks to the integrated Internet interface on the CPU, both for the programmation of the machinery itself and the communication with other devices, the communication becomes more effective and lowers the set up times.
